Healing Modalities
Aromatherapy Massage
$35 – ½ hour, $60 – 1
hour, $90 – 1-1/2 hour Sessions -
Aromatherapy has been used for eons to facilitate healing at several
levels. It combines the actual medicinal properties known to exist in
various plants with traditional massage techniques. Aromatherapy theory
is based on the essential oils being absorbed through the pores of the
skin during the massage, and by the inhalation of molecules of the
essential oils through the nose. The molecules within the oils are said
to enter the nervous system through the bloodstream, influencing body,
mind and spirit well-being. The massage offered – unless otherwise
requested – will be a basic Swedish Massage incorporating the use of
specific scents to help facilitate a particular healing process.
Examples
– facing emotional trauma, experiencing life changes, questioning soul
purpose, seeking energetic change – calming or boosting energy, preventing
or recovering from dis-ease, preparing for or recovering from surgery,
releasing old patterns/habits, suffering from depression – particularly
situational, experiencing joint stiffness or pain, relieving muscular
aches and pains, fighting chronic fatigue, increasing and/or balancing
life-force energy, needing to relax, relieving headache pain, lessening
sinus pressure, keeping skin toned and supple.
Credentials
– Aislinn is a Lifetime Member of the Herbal Healer Academy and a
Certified Herbalist through PrairieWise Herbal School. She is also a
long-time student of Aromatherapy and its affects in enhancing the overall
healing processes.
Color Therapy -
$35
– ½ hour Session -
According to current
theories, the vibrations of color waves can directly affect the body at
the cellular level, thereby impacting both the cells and the organs. It
involves inundating the individual with specific color(s) to help activate
and direct the person’s own healing energy. The impact of color on an
individual’s mood is widely recognized; however, Color Therapists believe
that different hues can affect one’s ability to fight off dis-ease, and
improve the physical, emotional and spiritual health. The individual’s
own auric field and the information given during the intake process will
give Aislinn clues to the client’s overall state of health and
well-being. She will analyze these clues and determine which colors will
be most useful in assisting the individual to active the appropriate
healing energies for their condition. This modality can be used alone or
in conjunction with hands-on therapies, including, but not limited to –
Swedish Massage, Laying-on-of-Stones, Meditation Therapy, Reiki, Polarity
Therapy and Medicine Wheel Therapy.
Examples
– facing emotional trauma, experiencing life changes, questioning soul
purpose, seeking energetic changes – calming or boosting energy,
preventing or recovering from dis-ease, preparing for or recovering from
surgery, releasing old patterns/habits, suffering from depression –
particularly SADD, enhancing effects of bodywork, fighting chronic
fatigue, increasing and/or balancing life-force energy, clearing auric
field, balancing and activating Chakras, needing to relax, keeping skin
toned and supple
Credentials
– Aislinn is self-taught in the use of Color Therapy, and has been using
and teaching Color Therapy for more than 20 years. She finds it a very
effective tool to aid in the activation of a client’s own healing
energies.
Herbal Consultation
-
$25 – Session -
With over 80% of the
world’s population relying on herbs for their healing and health
maintenance, this is definitely an adjunct worth exploring. Many
laboratory-induced drugs are derived from plants, but herbal remedies
differ from conventional medicine in that they are using parts of the
whole plant rather than isolating a single active ingredient. Over the
past 200 years, plant species from around the world have become part of
our Western Herbal culture as myriad conditions present themselves for
treatment.
Examples
– seeking energetic change – calming or boosting energy, preventing or
recovering from dis-ease, preparing for or recovering from surgery,
suffering from depression, experiencing joint stiffness or pain, relieving
muscular aches and pains, fighting chronic fatigue, needing to relax,
relieving headache pain, lessening sinus pressure, keeping skin toned and
supple
Credentials
– Being a Certified Herbalist, Aislinn can offer many suggestions to
assist you in your healing effort. She has been working with – and
growing – herbs for more than 30 years. Even though she has become adept
with Herbal preparations and their usages, she still advocates personal
responsibility in the use of herbs for individual healing processes,
asking the individual to research each suggestion for certainty and
applicability.

Geriatric Massage
-
$35 – ½ hour, $60 – 1 hour
Sessions -
Our elderly population
responds quite well to this type therapeutic touch. While most of the
conditions they tend to “suffer” from aren’t within the realms of “cure”,
they do react very well to being touched in “non-threatening” areas of the
body, using “non-threatening” techniques.

recovering from dis-ease, preparing for or recovering from surgery,
suffering from depression – particularly situational, experiencing joint
stiffness or pain, relieving muscular aches and pains, needing to relax,
keeping skin toned and supple

touch to assist her own Nana relax, stay calm and be comforted; helping to
keep her aging skin supple and elastic with excellent results.
Infant and Pregnancy Massage
-
$35 – ½ hour (Infants’
limit), $60 – 1 hour Sessions -
Infants and
pregnant women get much from the gentle, long strokes offered in this type
of bodywork. Infants can be massaged as early as three months old, and
pregnant women at late as their eighth month. Aislinn takes every
precaution with both to ensure that no damage is done to the infant’s
small growing bones and joints, as well as with the soon-to-be mother’s
growing fetus. Small amounts of scent can be added to these types of
massage to assist with anxiety, tension and/or other conditions that may
be present. When performing infant massage, Aislinn spends time with the
parent(s), showing various massage techniques appropriate to assist the
growing baby. Women who have entered their third trimester, or are
considered “high risk” must have a doctor’s release before Aislinn can
offer them any type of massage.

seeking energetic change – calming or boosting energy, preparing for birth
– both mother and fetus, suffering from depression, assisting growing
joints and bones, relieving muscular aches and pains, needing to relax,
keeping skin toned and supple

techniques to provide maximum benefits.
Laying-on-of-Stones -
$35 – ½ hour, $60 – 1 hour
Sessions -
The use of stones as
either the primary focus, or as an addition to other types of bodywork,
assists in the activation of internal healing mechanisms natural to each
individual. The individual’s needs are discussed; then various stones are
selected and placed on and around the body with the intent of moving
stagnant energies through the body, thereby facilitating the client’s
healing. Using this adjunct is an excellent alternative to sometimes
painful trigger point work.
Examples
– facing emotional trauma, experiencing life changes, questioning soul
purpose, seeking energetic change – calming or boosting energy, preventing
or recovering from dis-ease, preparing for or recovering from surgery,
releasing old patterns/habits, suffering from depression, experiencing

as not to collapse the delicate lymph vessels. This massage can be done

Meditation Therapy
-
$35 – ½ hour, $60 – 1 hour
Sessions -
As a mental discipline,
meditation is included in the practice of many spiritual endeavors. It is
intended to induce a state of profound relaxation, inner harmony and
increased awareness. Various techniques can be used during the
meditation; however, all involve focusing the mind on a particular subject
and disregarding distractions. Meditation has been shown to reverse the
body’s “fight or flight” response to stress, and is practiced as a means
of spiritual enlightenment in Eastern societies. In the West, it is
widely used in non-religious contexts to treat stress-related and other
mental and emotional conditions.
Examples
– facing emotional trauma, experiencing life changes, questioning soul
purpose, seeking energetic change – calming or boosting energy, preparing
for or recovering from surgery, releasing old patterns/ habits, suffering
from depression – particularly situational, increasing and/or balancing
life-force energy, clearing auric field, balancing and activating Chakras,
needing to relax.
Credentials
– Aislinn has worked with
various Meditation Therapists over the past 20 years, eventually
developing her own style and techniques for using guided meditations to
assist others. Aislinn uses guided meditation techniques specifically
devised for the individual’s needs. Each session includes a 15-minute
post-meditation assimilation period to help the client better understand
the information received during the actual meditation.
Polarity Therapy -
$35 – ½ hour, $60 – 1
hour, $90 – 1½ hour Sessions -
Polarity Therapy
is a blend of Western therapies, Traditional Chinese Medicine and Ayurveda
that focuses on the well-being of the client as a result of an
unobstructed flow of “life energy” in and around the body. This energy
corresponds in nature to qi – or chi – in Traditional Chinese Medicine and
prana in Ayurveda, and is thought to move in currents around the body
between positive and negative poles. The goal is to rebalance or restore
energy flow by means of light touch, nutritional advice, exercise and/or
counseling. By touching each of the pulse points on a person’s body,
Aislinn can assist the individual with balancing these areas.
Examples –
focusing on life’s needs, facing emotional trauma, experiencing life
changes, seeking energetic change – calming or boosting energy, preparing
for or recovering from surgery, releasing old patterns/habits, suffering
from depression – particularly situational or seasonal, enhancing the
effects of bodywork, fighting chronic fatigue, increasing and/or balancing
life-force energy, balancing and activating Chakras, needing to relax,
feeling “off your stride”
Credentials –
Aislinn was taught these techniques through her training as a Massage
Therapist, and utilizes this system either alone or in conjunction with
other bodywork for maximum effectiveness.
Reflexology Massage
-
$20 – 15 minutes, $35 – ½
hour Sessions-
It is believed that all
the nerves of the body are accessible through massaging the feet and
hands. By focusing pressure on these areas, the individual will be able
to keep the entire body – both internally and externally – balanced,
toned, flexible, relaxed and alert. This modality is used most often when
there isn’t time for a full-body massage, or some condition prevents other
types of massage or bodywork. According to Reflexologists, the feet and
hands are a mirror of the body, and pressure placed on specific “reflex”
points can be used to affect the corresponding areas of the body in order
to stimulate natural healing powers and promote well-being. All parts of
the feet, calves, hands and forearms are massaged for greatest usefulness.
Examples
– seeking energetic change – calming or boosting energy, preparing for or
recovering from surgery, preventing or recovering from dis-ease, suffering
from depression – particularly situational or seasonal, fighting chronic
fatigue, increasing and/or balancing life-force energy, balancing and
activating Chakras, needing to relax, relieving headache pain, lessening
sinus pressure, keeping the body’s organs toned.
Credentials
– Aislinn was taught these techniques through her training as a Massage
Therapist, and is well-versed in this modality to provide maximum benefits
to each client.
Reiki Treatments
-
$35 – ½ hour, $60 – 1 hour
Sessions -
Reiki is an ancient form of Japanese
spiritual healing which has its foundations in ancient Tibetan Buddhism,
and was apparently forgotten until its rediscovery in the late 19th
Century. Practitioners draw on Reiki energy, channeling it through the
hands to areas of need in themselves and their clients. They tend to
borrow terminology from physics, believing that this energy activates the
body’s healing capabilities at the cellular level, causing the molecules
to vibrate with higher intensity and thus dissolving energy blockages that
lead to disharmony and dis-ease. Reiki uses energy manipulation to aid in
moving stagnant or blocked energy as a means of opening the flow of one’s
own healing energies. While it is a hands-on technique, the touch is
feather light and is not required to facilitate change within the
individual’s energy body.
Examples –
seeking energetic change – calming or boosting energy, preventing or
recovering from dis-ease, preparing for or recovering from surgery,
suffering from depression – particularly situational, experiencing joint
stiffness or pain, relieving muscular aches and pains, fighting chronic
fatigue, increasing and/or balancing life-force energy, balancing and
activating Chakras, needing to relax, relieving headache pain, lessening
sinus pressure
Credentials –
Aislinn received her First Degree Reiki Attunement through The Usui System
of Natural Healing in 1998, and intends to eventually elevate this status
through future training.
Swedish Massage
- $35 – ½ hour, $60 – 1 hour, $90 – 1½ hour Sessions -
This is the
foundation for all other types of massage and bodywork. Depending on the
individual’s time factors, it is a full-body massage intended to relax,
comfort and tone the body and underlying tissues. This is a standard form
of massage that can be built upon with other techniques and modalities as
needed or desired by the client or their specific condition(s). It has
been used for thousands of years as a simple and effective method of
attaining and maintaining good health, and its benefits have long been
recognized in many cultures throughout the world. Therapeutic massage can
be used to promote general well-being and enhance self-esteem, while
boosting the circulatory and immune systems to benefit blood pressure,
circulation, muscle tone, digestion and skin tone. It has been
incorporated into many health systems; and different massage techniques
have been developed and integrated into various complementary therapies.

Massage, as mentioned above, is useful to assist with the overall health
and well-being of every individual.
