I am a Native American/European American Dreaming Woman. It is my joyful obligation to Great Spirit to act as a trance channeler, intuitive healer, and communicator of the teachings of the original dreamers. We do this so the children of the Sun who come after us will remember their origins. These Native American and European ancestral teachings have been with all of us since we began living on the Mother Earth. My dreaming sisters, and the warrior dreamers who work with us, form a universal and mystical society of dreamers.

The art of dreaming is the most ancient of all practices . The society of dreamers has worked together in the Web of Creation with Grandmother Spider since the beginning of time. The practices of this tradition have been kept alive by peoples of the world throughout the darkest passages of human evolution. Behind the dreaming veil is where ALL manifestation begins. This is where dreaming women work. The dense physical world is the final expression of the group dream, and the ultimate gifting where the evolving humans can give back to Great Spirit. As we dream, so becomes the world.. _________________________________________

My worldly name is JoAn. Many know me not only by my Native American name, Little Deer. I have also been known over these past years by Dragon Lady, Wild Rose and my Hawaiian spiritual name, Kahiloa Olelo. All these different names, I feel, define who I am in all the different work that I do. I am proud of both my Native and European heritages. My ancestors were strong gifted healers, adepts in the psychic arts, artists, musicians, and teachers. I consider myself very lucky to have been raised in such an open and wonder-filled environment. In my family tradition, when you become an elder it is time for you to begin your work as a “dreamer,” a healer, a teacher. This is the juncture I find myself working at now. I have been pleased to be doing the work of a dreaming woman, kahuna kupua, medicine woman (a title I have been gifted with), teacher/healer for the past fifteen years. I am also a professional artist, working in painting, clay, textiles, and now the body’s own skin, tattoo art. The art work I have done and am doing presently is a strong accompaniment to all the healing work that I do.

I have taught yoga, meditation and protection, drumming and dance. All these modes of creation have prepared me well for the work that I now do each day. I am certified in many healing modalities, including lomilomi, reflexology, reiki, and shiatsu.

In the year 2005, I was privileged to begin work with a highly gifted tattoo artist, Gene Robertson, in the Grand Valley of Colorado. He not only gifted me with placing my original design work on my body. As we worked, he asked if learning tattoo art would be of interest to me!! Immediately I was caught by Spirit! This of course was another healing tool – Tattoo, called KaKou in Polynesia. I consider the work that I do with those who come now for tattooing to be of the highest spiritual calling. The client and I work together to create and implement design work for their body using designs that have universal themes concerned with nature, spirituality and humanity.

I hold formal degrees in education and fine arts as well. I am on the board of CORNS, Inc. a non-profit heritage seed, Native American based organization. I am also a minister in the Universal Life Church.

Please contact me in Grand Junction , Colorado at 970-434-9157 for an appointment for counseling work, trance channel message, massage work, body or design and placement of a healing/spiritual tattoo.
